Valentine's Day Treats...

Sometimes when Valentine's day rolls around and you have no boyfriend with which to celebrate this immensely cheesy and overplayed holiday, it can be sort of depressing. But who needs a boyfriend when you have a magnificent job with sixteen thoughtful 10 year olds, a friend to visit in NYC, and a friendship soulmate who sends you mail?!

I have pictures to reflect each part of my extended "Valentine's celebration." (If that's what you want to call it. Although, I didn't actually, really celebrate Valentine's day at all. Ha.)

My plethora of gifts on Friday the 13th...

the flowers...

the candy...

My weekend in NYC...

Thanks for posing Ershad!

Pictures from Central Park...

CHEEEEESE!

And yes, that's right...a pond with no water, right in Central Park.

And the card from the girl with no imagination...

What do you think?

Is there anyone out there who is actually reading this blog? I wonder that sometimes. Although, I guess I have to admit that I didn't start it for anyone to read it; I was hoping that people would look at and comment on my pictures, but that doesn't seem to be happening either. So I'll just blab away instead.

Purple and green. Two of my favorite colors. They have been two of my favorite colors for as long as I can remember. I never was one of those people who could narrow it down to one favorite color. And I guess we are at the age now, or maybe I'm at the age now, where favorite colors shouldn't really matter? I might always feel like they matter though. I think it reveals a lot about a person...what exactly, I'm not sure but definitely something.

For example, in high school, I might have been seen once or twice wearing a deep purple velvety dress with olive green tights. I might have been referred to as an eggplant by one or more people from my high school. But I didn't care; they thought I was weird and nerdy anyway. It just added to my mystique. Ha. What does that say about me, you might ask? I believe it has something to do with the ability to fully embrace being a little out of the norm...Not unusual for me, you might say.

So alas, all this nonsense has to do with the fact that I changed the color scheme of my blog today to purple and green...in honor of life changes and the upcoming season of Spring. Theoretically it may be two months away, but it's right around the corner in my calendar!

I will end all this gibberish by asking you readers out there (whomever you are)...What is your favorite color? What do you think it says about you?
