You might be wondering...

...how my cross country trip with Jenn is going so far. Unfortunately, I haven't had the time or consistent access to wifi to update my blog. Sad, I know. Now I am in Phoenix, AZ visiting my brother and finally have solid internet access. Although time is short here in Phoenix, it is a nice break from driving, camping, hiking, going, doing, seeing, and just generally getting very little sleep. We've been very busy over the past week and it's felt more like 3 weeks rather than 1 week and two days! Whew. I wonder what I will feel like by the end of the trip.

Anyway, in an attempt to consolidate my time on the internet into an amount of time that seems feasible for our short stay here in Phoenix, Jenn and I are updating our travel blog with a few pictures of our trip so far and some commentary to accompany each set of pics. Unfortunately, I will not have time to sufficiently update this blog with additional pictures and thoughts about the trip at this time, but will try to do it later on during the trip or at the latest when I return home.

Day 1: Asheville

I have begun my cross country adventure and have arrived in Asheville. Jenn and I are heading out tomorrow mid-day for Nashville, TN. In the meantime, we have already started our travel blog, which you can check out at this address: www.jladventure.blogspot.com --I may be updating that one more than this one for a while so check both! :)

Here are some highlights from today:

On the way to Jenn's mentor's house to get some travel tips, we drove over some speed humps...

On the way back to Jenn's house, we stopped for some apples (and other groceries)...

Then I took a moment to enjoy our refrigeration-free apple products for the trip...

Finally, we created a profile pic for our travel blog. The upper left block may have been posed, but the rest were a real surprise! Four pics in a row, who knew?!

Almost Time to Leave...

In about two days I am going to head out on my cross country trip. Monday I am leaving for Asheville to get organized with Jennifer. Then, Tuesday we are off. The first stop is Nashville, TN where we are staying with my cousin Tyler. Wednesday we are driving from Nashville, TN to Kansas City, MO to stay with my friend Nora's best friend from college, Lindsay. Quite the connection, huh?! :)

So I will keep you updated about my travels here on my blog, and I believe that Jenn and I are going to do a travel blog as well. I will post that address as soon as we set it up. Check back frequently because I am certain there will be not only amazing pics but magnificent adventures!
