The Holidays...

Well, I can't say that I've been the most dedicated blog-poster (if that counts as an actual word) over the past few months. I have thought about updating my blog a few times, but as you can tell, I haven't actually followed through with updating it. I'd blame it on being busy, but that's just hogwash. Well, there might be some truth to being busy, but I could use that as an excuse for any part of the year, all the time, as I'm sure most people can (and do). We're all busy, all the time, every day, and it's really a choice as to how we spend our downtime.

Recently, I've been spending my downtime watching NCIS, Criminal Minds, Ghost Whisperer, Burn Notice, and other great shows that generally come on USA as reruns. I've also spent some downtime reading, drawing, and taking photographs. I've probably spent a lot of downtime sleeping or catching up on sleep. The rest of my downtime has been spent babysitting for the Murphy girls, which I love and wouldn't pass up for anything in the world.

So, as it is, we have now arrived at the time of the year that is generally referred to as "The Holidays." I'd like to tell you that, for the first time in 3 or more years, I have NOT wanted to skip mid-November through all of December and land in January. I thought I was going to be able to say that this year, but I can't. For many people, this time of year is particularly difficult, but for me, it is almost unbearable. I'm not going to dwell on that fact though.

What I'm going to tell you instead is that I have been able to take two beautiful photo shoots since the last time I posted. I will post a few pictures here and, if you want to see more, visit my photography blog at: www.lb3photo.blogspot.com! I actually have a photo shoot tomorrow for a co-worker of mine, so I hope I will be able to post those soon as well.

The Murphy Girls

It was a TON of fun to photograph these girls, especially since I get to spend so much time with them. They have such a myriad of expressions, especially little Lucy Linh!!

Who doesn't love a good pirate face?!

Dane: Almost 2 years old

Besides the fact that Dane spent most of the morning in tears, I had a great time trying to get a good shot of him smiling. Plus, he's so freakin' cute! I can't wait until our next photo shoot together. :)

Fancy Footwork

My month long traveling vacation has just about come to a close. I have a few pictures to share from my time in Arizona with my brother and Natalie and a few pictures to share from my trip to wine country in CA with the girls. If you want to see more, let me know. I'll send you to the link to the Picasa Albums...but be warned...there are A LOT of photos!

I went up the mountain with Josh to see what he does to fix the radio transmitters and such.
It was a little rainy (and boy did I get car sick on the way up!).

The view is beautiful though.

And we got to see these really cool spiders; they came out of hiding when it started to rain! Creepy!

We visited Flagstaff, which is north of Phoenix, and the weather was absolutely amazing! Cold even!!
An old photo booth! Waaaaay cool.

Gorgeous clouds, right?! God, I love clouds!

We left Flagstaff and headed to the Grand Canyon to see the sunset. :)

Josh took about 700 photos, but I took a few too.

Josh and Natalie--soooo cute!

Josh made me pose some. Can I use this on my forthcoming band debut album?!

The clouds were absolutely amazing when we were there. There was an imminent storm on the horizon.

Then we saw an elk roaming around right before we left!

Wine country, here we come! Check out those great t-shirts (gifts from Ann!).

Who doesn't love a good ride on a swing?

Our first winery and our first tasting.
