My sister, her friend Maria, and I went on a brief hike into the Eno one lovely Sunday evening earlier this week. These are the pics I took to commemorate the event. Since we are not that busy at the Ox and Rabbit, I decided that I should finally update my blog. So, I hope you enjoy the pics!

Ipod touch
I had to post from my new Ipod Touch because I am so enthralled by it right now. I got it almost free with my new computer and did not realize at the time how utterly cool it would be. Technology can be so great sometimes!
Quick update...
Hello friends! I know I have been absent for a period of time, and I apologize for that. I do have some pictures to upload to the blog; however I have not had a chance to download them from my camera yet. I do have some brief updates though ... here they are ...
1. School is over, and I have fully embraced the summer by working full time at the Ox and Rabbit (my second home). I am also diligently trying to prepare for my cross country trip.
2. My sister and I are not actually moving to Mangum Street after all...yes, I know, it is sad. We are still hoping to live together after she sells her house. So, keep your fingers crossed that it sells soon so we can move in together before I have to move out of the Cinderblock Ice Palace in November.
3. I just got a new MAC computer, and I'm SUPER pumped about it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It rocks the house and is the only reason I can use the internet at my house right now (because I am successfully stealing it from somewhere close by with a barely available signal).
4. I will be taking my computer and camera with me cross country and updating my blog with pictures! So don't forget to check!! :)
5. If you know someone Jennifer and I could stay with on our cross country trip, please let me know. We would appreciate it greatly and love you forever!
I'll be back soon so I can upload the pics I have and provide more detailed information.

Strawberry Hand...

How great is this strawberry? When I had dinner with Meg, Loren, and Kate last weekend, I bought some fruit so that Meg could make us smoothies with her homemade yogurt. (It was the least I could do since they always make delicious meals for me!!) So, as she's pulling out the strawberries to wash and cut them, she comes upon this strawberry hand. You should definitely click on this pic and take a close look at that strawberry because it is AWESOME. We almost didn't want to cut it up and add it to the smoothie because we were all so in awe of it! It couldn't have been a more perfect moment for me. :) (And if you know my nickname from the Ox and Rabbit, then you know why!)

The rest of my trip to Columbus...
Well, these are the rest of my pictures from my trip to Columbus. I know that I have posted a lot in this entry, but I think I have given you a great idea of the progression of my drive from the beginning until almost the end, when darkness began to settle upon the Earth. At the beginning of my drive, I was trying to capture the essence of the farmland that I was traversing through for most of the trip. By the end of my trip, I was fighting through periodic downpours of rain. Once it became dark, I stopped taking photos and merely concentrated on driving. :) (What a concept, huh?! Ha ha.)

In between here and there...
In between driving to Columbus and driving home from Columbus, I did actually spend time in Columbus with great friends. I thought I would break up the scenic pictures with some photos from that part of my trip. I hope you can enjoy the night through these pics as much as we enjoyed the night when it was happening!
For Ann's 28th Birthday celebration, Ann, Nora, and I all purchased new party dresses! Aren't they fabulous and fun? :) Of course, I HAD to buy a dress with polka-dots!!
The night began at one of Ann's favorite restaurants in Columbus...here are Nora and I waiting for the food to arrive...

Nora, Ann, and I have been friends since we were merely young adults in middle school. I just think it's so spectacular that we have been friends for over 15 years!

I absolutely LOVE this picture of Ann and Nora because Ann's face depicts how excited she is on her 28th birthday! :)

Here are the other participants in the night of gallivanting around Columbus...Elizabeth and Annie, Ann's close friends from her Duke days.

And Ann with Tara, another close friend from her Duke days...

Yeah!! Ann blowing out both of her birthday candles!

Now we have moved the party to the piano bar...what could be more fun than dancing and singing along??!!

Dancing queens...

The birthday girl up on stage! Pretty in pink at its finest!

Aww, too sweet. :)

Ann and Kyle, whom I like to call Nick even though that's not his name. Doesn't he look like a Nick, though?

The night soon comes to a close...and no one really NEEDS to see the end of the night pictures. :)
