Purple and green. Two of my favorite colors. They have been two of my favorite colors for as long as I can remember. I never was one of those people who could narrow it down to one favorite color. And I guess we are at the age now, or maybe I'm at the age now, where favorite colors shouldn't really matter? I might always feel like they matter though. I think it reveals a lot about a person...what exactly, I'm not sure but definitely something.
For example, in high school, I might have been seen once or twice wearing a deep purple velvety dress with olive green tights. I might have been referred to as an eggplant by one or more people from my high school. But I didn't care; they thought I was weird and nerdy anyway. It just added to my mystique. Ha. What does that say about me, you might ask? I believe it has something to do with the ability to fully embrace being a little out of the norm...Not unusual for me, you might say.
So alas, all this nonsense has to do with the fact that I changed the color scheme of my blog today to purple and green...in honor of life changes and the upcoming season of Spring. Theoretically it may be two months away, but it's right around the corner in my calendar!
I will end all this gibberish by asking you readers out there (whomever you are)...What is your favorite color? What do you think it says about you?

As the only "official" follower of Deedee's blog, I had to respond. The only downside is that I don't really have a favorite color. Could it be because I don't have an imagination? I like to wear black and grey, but it seems a little morbid to say those are my favorite colors. I like many colors. Ok, that's all I've got. I'm kind of getting into this blogging.
Sorry...not an "official" follower...but that doesn't mean I don't check it out. My faves are blue (I'm particularily fond of Carolina blue) and purple. So, I'm thrilled about your change of background colors...but not what they signify. I'm not ready for spring yet!
For many years of my life, my favorite colors were teal and purple. i probably had one too many pieces of clothing in this combo and it was my favorite combo of rubberband colors for my braces. since the good 'ole days, though, my favorite colors from a decorating perspective have been blues and purples and furniture in rich browns and black. for clothes, i can't help myself, i like black and grey best. i don't think of myself as a debbie downer, it's just the most flattering and easiest. deedee, it's not weird to talk about your favorite color at an old age. the bigger problem is when people at an older age can't pick a favorite color. or a favorite anything for that matter. people are too scared to make decisions and stand by them these days! ok, that's all for now!
