The long awaited apartment photos...

I know I promised these pictures many, many weeks ago to all of you out there that are reading my blog. I have fallen down on my job of updating as frequently as I would like because of lacking internet at my new apartment. It's difficult to update my blog without ready access to the internet when I get home from work.

Luckily, I finally had a chance to take some pictures today of my new apartment. I have unpacked all of my boxes except for a few lingering ones that are milling around under the stairs. However, I think that's pretty good considering I've been out of town three weekends out of the past two months and working the other weekends. I have yet to hang any of my pictures so the walls are still bare, but most everything else is in order.

When you first walk into my apartment, the study is off to the left. It's small but perfect.

The great part is that the study has this skylight above it since it has no windows. The skylight brings in a ton of natural light during the day, which is wonderful.

The next room along the entry hallway is the bathroom. It was already conveniently painted this lime green color, which matches my shower curtain perfectly!

After leaving the entry hallway, you enter into the big open kitchen/dining room/living room space. I love the open-ness of it! AND I absolutely LOVE the floor to ceiling window!

Here is my bedroom--upstairs in the loft. I didn't make my bed today. My bedroom is still kind of a wreck so this is the only picture I have of it for now. At the other end of my bedroom, that open area looks down into the study and out the skylight. I am seriously considering curtains for that area because the skylight is much too bright at 8am on Saturday and Sunday mornings!

Your place looks great! Looks much more "you" than the cinderblock palace. I can't wait for my first visit!

I love your place! It is decorated with your magical touch and just looks fabulous!! I love the big windows and skylights, too!! I'm so happy for you:) Where in Durham is it again?

I think I would kill for this apartment, especially if it uprooted itself and arrived in Los Angeles.

With that huge window and skylight, I’m sure your entire house is bright all day long! Isn’t that very energy efficient? Natural light adds warmth and creates a positive feel and enhances your mood. What else can you ask for?
